Judy Martindale

Judy is our August 2012 Guest Artist.

JL Martindale is Judy Martindale. Judy’s multi-media impressions are diverse and often whimsical.  She utilizes transparent watercolors, acrylics, collage and various texturizing agents to create movement and depth in her paintings.  Viewers of her work will find hidden images   within her abstracts that will both surprise and entice them.  All of her paintings are one of a kind originals (no prints or giclees are ever made of the individual pieces).
Judy has studied extensively with Don Andrews, and has worked closely with Jean Grastorf and Pat Dews.  She has also studied with other notable artists including Jerry Brommer, Judi Betts, Sue Archer and Nicholas Simmons.
Judy’s work was selected as part of the Red River Valley Museum’s International Show.  Her work has been displayed at the Gallery of the Edison Arts Society in the Sheridan-Edison Hotel at the Raritan Center (NJ), the Red River Valley Museum in Vernon, Texas, and in  New Jersey Watercolor Society‘s exhibitions, and at the Don Vista Gallery in St. Petersburg. Additionally, her contemporary work was accepted into the FWS  2010 and 2011 online shows.  Her contemporary work can be viewed at the Gallery within DOMA (St.Petersburg and Tampa, FL).
