Betsy Schoepf

Betsy was our June 2013 Guest Artist.

Betsy Schoepf started painting over 40 years ago.

Those forty years have been broken by long periods of child-raising and employment. There were only rare occasions of producing a painting or two. She looked forward to the day when she could concentrate wholeheartedly on developing her interest in oil painting. Now retired, she is doing just that.

Betsy enjoys painting her surroundings. It can be a still life made up of familiar objects in her home. Or it might be the small cottages and beach scenes of Indian Rocks Beach where she has lived for 35 years.

She has taught Beginning Oils at Michael's, the Town of Belleair, St. Paul's School, The Frame Factory, her home, and is now teaching in the new Town Hall at Indian Shores. She welcomes inquiries into her classes.
